We are traveling to New Zealand on a Working Holiday Visa in hopes to explore, farm, hike, swim, learn about the culture and history of the islands, and meet people interested in sharing that with us.
Descrição
We are very excited to visit new places and share our love of gardening, art, food, and the ocean!
We both grew up on the coast of Maine. Josie has been working independently as a landscaper and teaching art classes at local schools and studios. She also works in ceramics, paints, draws, and knits when not out in the garden. Ben is a filmmaker and does freelance video editing, but he also loves the beach, dancing, playing tennis and also every other game.
Getting the chance to explore and meet new people is what our lives have been needing, and we always welcome new opportunities for friendship. We have had many wonderful traveling experiences overseas, and there is so much left to see and learn.
Looking forward to our meeting someday in the future!

We both have farming and gardening experience (planting, pruning, weeding, harvesting, mulching, etc).
Josie has wood carpentry and metal smithing skills (including welding) and many ceramics/ wheel throwing skills.
Ben has many computer skills including with video and sound editing software.
We are both experienced with rowing and kayaking, swimming, and biking.
We both have experience taking care of animals and Josie has a lot of child care and teaching experience,

What a lovely family. Truly kind and thoughtful people who live in a beautiful place. Jamie and Joe were very reasonable about the work they wanted done and were generous enough to offer their bikes and kayaks while we stayed with them for eight days. They made delicious meals and made us feel very at home in the cottage.

Sarndra was a complete delight to stay with. Our two weeks with her flew by--I was sad to leave and say goodbye, but I have a feeling we will see each other again someday.

Josie and Ben were the best of the best as far as Workawayers go. They were only with me for 2 weeks and in that time achieved so much in my garden.
