Hello everybody! Thank you for visiting my profile.

I'm a self-employed health and wellness counsellor/mentor from Northern Italy with a passion for foreign languages, books, nature and - of course - travelling.

Between 2015 and 2016 I quit my job as an employee and took a gap year during which I visited 12 countries across Europe and Latinoamerca, and had some amazing Workaway experiences.

After working hard in the last years to establish my new career path, I think it's time to start travelling again. I'm positive, easygoing, open-minded, curious, determined, willing to learn and improve myself through every experience that life can offer me.

I can't wait to meet new Workaway hosts and share our stories, perspectives and cultures.

- I can teach Italian (my mother tongue). I already did in a previous Workaway experience in Wales and enjoyed it very much (you can read my host's feedback about it). I can easily adjust to your level and focus on what's more interesting or more fun for you. - I'm currently studying Swedish (A2 level) and I'd love to improve it by practicing with native speakers

Quais são suas habilidades?

Languages: I’m a native Italian speaker and I would be able to teach my beautiful language.
I attended a foreign languages high-school so I am fluent in English and French, I also speak basic Spanish and German. I’m experienced in giving English and French lessons to beginnners.

Office work: I worked for many years as secretary, office manager, personal assistant, credit collection, accountant. I’m reliable, independent, very good at priorizing and managing different tasks, I pay attention to details.
I can both work well on my own or in a team, according to what is required.
I have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and a little bit of SAP FI module (Financial-Accounting)

Customer Relations: I worked for 4 years in the customer service of a TLC company where I was in charge of the so called VIP or high-profile customers, from marketing to administrative issues passing through technical assistance. I’m experienced in dealing with any kind of request, and a the same time always keeping smiling.

DIY work: I like to be independent in the general maintainance of my house, so I can paint, plaster, use the drill and the desk saw. In my previous apartment I laid down the parquet in the living room all by myself. It was a hard work, but a great satisfaction too!
Generally speaking, I don’t mind hard working and getting my hands dirty.

Cooking: I love cooking and I love exchanging recipes! I can cook for you delicious Italian recipes. As I’m trying to have a healthy way of living, whenever possible I prefer organic whole food which I can cook in very tasty ways. Having attended some cooking classes, I’m also able to prepare good vegetarian or vegan meals and special meals for people suffering from celiac disease.

Housekeeping: I can efficiently and thoroughly do any work as ironing, dusting, cleaning everything up from floors to windows, hand-washing, doing beds, and so on.

Holistic therapies: I’am a certified Shiatsu therapist, a Reiki Master and a Theta Healer. I also practice Swedish and Ayurvedic massage, have a good knowledge of Bach Flowers. If you are interested in, or simply curious, I can offer you my skills or we can just have an exchange of opinions on this subject.
At the beginning all this was a hobby, then it became a relevant part of my life and one day, maybe, it could even turn to be my new job.

Animals: I really love animals and I’m totally at ease and relaxed with them, regardless their size... from cats to horses. I don’t have any specific working experience with them, but I ‘m very willing to learn.

Kids: I used to babysit when I was a student, but my experience is limited to children older than 5. I liked a lot helping children with their homeworks. I’m patient and quite good at explainig things.

I’m flexible about any kind of work and about scheduling working time. Don’t mind hardworking and getting my hands dirty. I’d really like to acquire new skills and doing things I’ve never done before.
I’m an extremely quick learner!

I have a driving license and I like driving. I will not bring my own car with me during my workaway experience but I will be able to drive if required during my stays.
I don’t smoke. I don’t drink (just half a glass on very special occasions).

I don’t want to be just a tourist, I'd really love to mix with local people and to become part of the families that will host me and share their lives.
