Hello everyone!
I am an artist in training from the US, living in Portugal. While I figure out the next steps in my life, I wanted to take the time to meet new people and learn new skills. I love nature, and I’m looking to build skills that allow me to work with the Earth, rather than against it; I hope to stay with people who share those values.
I am a fairly quiet and reserved person, with determination to see projects through to the end. I persevere and am never afraid to try new things. Through Workaway, I hope to learn the skills necessary for building projects, DIYs, gardening, and cooking, among other things.
I have yet to find my "artistic calling" and have been experimenting with various forms of art. I often return to photography and have recently been learning watercolor. Nature, of course, is always present in my art. I love reading and learning; I've found that those two topics often go hand in hand. Among many other things, I'm interested learning in herbalism, cooking, yoga, and natural ways of living.
I am hoping to build true connections with the people I meet on my travels, and I look forward to meeting new people.

Quais são suas habilidades?
I grew up around animals (dogs, cats, donkeys, horses, and other small rodents), and have spent a lot of time taking care of neighbor's animals, so I am very comfortable around them.
I also enjoy cooking vegetarian meals (I know the secret to making perfect brown rice :)), and have basic knowledge of house maintenance and gardening.
For three years, I was a lead editor of my high school's yearbook. As such, I also have knowledge of graphic design, photography, and proofreading.
Though flexible and honest, I see myself as a leader with great communication skills and work ethic. I enjoy organization and any project that allows room for creativity.

I really enjoy photography and nature shows up in all my art (you can see examples in my photos). I also connect well with animals wherever I go; I feel safe with them and they feel safe with me :)
