Hi! I'm Tadeas.

I'm traveling this year to discover new places, meet new people, progress my meditation practice and do lots of physical labor. I'm originally a programmer, but each day I enjoy sitting in front of a computer less and less, and find more meaning and fulfillment in working with my hands and helping people more directly. Bonus points if I can be surrounded by beautiful nature while doing it :)

Just did 3 weeks with a family in Tarragona, now I'm visiting friends in Barcelona and looking for a place to stay until July 8th, when I'm going to a 10 day meditation retreat :) maybe you can host me?

I enjoy reading, hiking, running, basketball, table tennis, chess, listening to classical music. I like to keep healthy and try new things, recently I've been doing Wim Hof breathing and cold showers.

I love preparing and sharing meals together in a big group. Recently I'm trying to learn some new & interesting recipes so that I can share them with / cook them for people I meet while traveling :)

Meditation is an important focus for me, and it has already drastically improved my life. I would be happy to exchange tips with you or teach you what I know. I'm nowhere near a master though, which is exciting since there's so much still to discover and learn.

I'm an EU citizen with health and travel insurance.

Quais são suas habilidades?

HOUSEWORK
- I enjoy housework, whether it's vacuuming, cleaning, dishes, laundry, cooking, organizing, etc. Me and my brother were raised helping with chores since we were little, and I grew to enjoy it. I find it meditative, and enjoy the feeling of helping out in a household I'm staying in.
- I just spent 3 weeks with a family in Tarragona, helping in the household and with their 2 kids (English and programming lessons, and playing). Would be happy to find a similar arrangement in Barcelona.
- Recently I'm learning some new recipes that I'll be able to share with and cook for people I meet while traveling, such as my grandma's potato dumplings, stuffed mushrooms, and more!

GARDEN/OUTDOOR
- I'm good at mowing grass, and enjoy it a lot!
- I enjoy chopping wood and painting walls/fences, though I haven't done the former in a while
- I helped my grandparents with several fruit harvests, especially apples and grapes.
- I'm eager to learn more! I love working outdoors

OTHER
- I'm a programmer so I can help with computer stuff, make you a website, or even teach you coding if you want!
- I love taking care of cats and can become friendly with them quickly. I also love dogs and would be happy to care for them, but have less experience with them
- I am a beginner with breathwork. I can show you the Wim Hof method, I've only been doing it for a month but it seems to have good health benefits
- I am adept at meditation, and dedicate at least an hour to it every day. I would be happy to teach you the basics, or exchange knowledge if you're also doing it.

Two of my main reasons for traveling through workaway are to learn new skills and do various kinds of manual labor, so I'd be happy to help with anything else if you show me how! I'm in good shape and workout everyday, so I don't mind physically demanding work.

RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME
- I love making ginger tea for people. It's very good for dealing with a cold / illness!
- I played basketball in a team for 8 years as a kid, and still love playing it
- I've been reading books almost everyday since I was around 7 years old. I would love to exchange some book recommendations! My favorite authors are Haruki Murakami and Greg Egan
- I love running and walking barefoot (there's a picture of my barefoot running shoes in my Photos! Found them randomly on a vacation in Germany years ago, read the book Born to Run, and the rest is history)
- In elementary school some kids called me Giraffe, I've always been the tallest in each of my classes (I'm around 190cm)
