I’ve been staying with this family for a month now, and I’ll be here until mid-August. From the very beginning, they’ve been warm and welcoming. The atmosphere at home is relaxed, and you quickly feel like part of the family.
Nimo, the mum, really goes out of her way to make sure you feel comfortable and included. She’s open, kind, and genuinely

She’s also very responsive and always ready to help when you need anything, whether it’s practical help, advice, or just a quick chat.
The dynamic at home is easygoing, and there’s a good balance between helping out and having time for yourself. It’s a good place if you’re looking for a calm and friendly environment where you can feel at ease. You’re not just “the Workawayer” here, you’re treated with respect, and you’re included in daily life.
Overall, it’s been a really positive experience so far. I’ve met lovely people, I feel supported, and I’ve found a bit of stability, which isn’t always easy when you’re traveling. I’m looking forward to spending the rest of my stay here!
Since April, I’ve been able to visit Sydney by taking the bus from Nimo’s place, and I still have plenty of activities planned until September. I’m lucky to have found this opportunity in Sydney, where the cost of living is very high, and where Nimo warmly welcomes you into her home with her 5-year-old son. I take care of the little one on

I’ve already had the chance to go by car to the beach with her son or visit the Blue Mountains, because she wants us to make the most of our time here as travelers, knowing we’re only around for a limited period.

As I was looking for my first workaway stay, I was hoping to find a heartwarming family I could stay with that would welcome me into their home. I had luck and found what I was looking for in Nimo’s little family. She made me feel very welcomed as I could tell that Nimo is absolutely interested in her workawayers and genuinely wants to get to know

I had a lot of free time, as I would only have to work (looking after her little son who loves to meet people and connect with them) on the weekends from morning until the afternoon. So I had the entire week for myself as well as my evenings on the weekends. Therefore there’s plenty of time to explore and do whatever you want to or get a job to earn some extra money!
It’s very important to Nimo that you’re having the best time during your stay and making the most of it. She encouraged me a lot to go out and when I was feeling sick she checked in on me to be sure I was alright.
I’m glad I got the chance to stay with Nimo for six weeks, if I hadn’t have made plans beforehand, I’d have definitely stayed longer.Feedback

I stayed with Nimo and her sons for three months and had the best time.
Her little son, who I looked after three nights a week, is the sweetest, very easy going and social.
Therefore the work isn't too hard and you have enough free time to explore the city or even get a job to earn some additional money.
The apartment also isn't too far away
… read more from CBD and there's a lot of shops and entertainment centres around so you never get bored.
I was included in all family activities, was invited to the weekly dancing classes and all outside activities (e.g. Vivid festival).
It immediately felt like home and Nimo always lets you know how much she appreciates your help. Communication works very well and you never feel like your being exploited or having to work too much. Nimo also is a great cook which made the experience even better.
My room was really neat and spacious and I had more than enough space to store all of my belongings.
It genuinely felt like a home away from home and I can't wait to see everyone again.Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.
