Hola! Mi nombre es Laia tengo 28 años y soy del norte de España, de una ciudad que se llama Bilbao, en el País Vasco. Mis objetivos son conocer diferentes culturas, aprender de ellas y conectar con personas de cada parte del mundo, con el fin de nutrirme de historias y experiencias que me impulsen a crecer como persona. Siento que a través del voluntariado tendré oportunidad de todo esto que acabo de mencionar. Sobre mi, soy una chica extrovertida, enérgica, deportista, con ganas de aprender y de ayudar en lo que se me pida. Practico deportes como la natación, bodyboard, crossfit, esquí, se un poco de skate y senderismo. Mi alimentación es de estilo mediterránea, varía con un poco de todo, pero con mentalidad saludable. No soy vegetariana ni vegana pero, si se me da la oportunidad de formar parte de un proyecto vegetariano o vegano, no supondría ningún inconveniente para mi.

Hello! My name is Laia, I'm 28 years old, and I'm from northern Spain, from a city called Bilbao, in the Basque Country. My goals are to experience different cultures, learn from them, and connect with people from all over the world, in order to nourish myself with stories and experiences that inspire me to grow as a person. I feel that through volunteering, I'll have the opportunity to do all of the things I just mentioned. About me, I'm an outgoing, energetic, athletic girl, eager to learn and help in whatever is asked of me. I practice sports such as swimming, bodyboarding, CrossFit, skiing, I also know a bit of skateboarding, and hiking. My diet is Mediterranean, varying with a bit of everything, but with a healthy mindset. I'm neither vegetarian or vegan, but if I were given the opportunity to be part of a vegetarian or vegan project, it wouldn't be a problem for me.

En cuanto a mi experiencia, soy educadora infantil, monitora de tiempo libre y socorrista especialista en playas. También he dado clases de surf en campamentos de verano y he trabajado en la limpieza de hoteles aquí en España. Trabajo principalmente con niños, en colegios o en campamentos de verano. Soy una persona creativa y adoro a los animales. Vivo con 2 perras y me he criado entre gatos, conejos, perros, ovejas, cabras, caballos, etc. También soy Advanced Adventurer (Buceo), por lo que la vida marina también me fascina. Practiqué equitación durante 15 años, así que los proyectos en granjas con caballos también me llaman mucho la atención.

About my experience, I'm an childhood educator, a leisure instructor, and a lifeguard specializing in beaches. I've also taught surfing lessons at summer camps and have worked in hotel cleaning here in Spain. I work primarily with children, in schools and at summer camps. I'm a creative person and I love animals. I live with two dogs and grew up among cats, rabbits, dogs, sheep, goats, horses, and more. I'm also an Advanced Adventurer (Diving), so marine life also fascinates me. I've been riding horses for 15 years, so projects on farms with horses really appeal to me too.
