Hi guys,
"Cat's village aka Xóm Cát means Sand village"
We're located in a beautiful small fishing village of Xóm Cát. We love to share this peaceful hidden gem to the world by showing our tradition, cuture, art, stories and welcome you into our by-the-sea community for a culture exchange time.
You'll be welcome into our family and emerge in the culture of Vietnam.
We will work, eat, do dishes and share stories to learn from each others because we believe that is the best way for you to learn our culture. For this reason, we only accepted applicant who want to stay a month or more.

This is an ancient fishing village with more than 500 years of age with vegetation as well as unique marine life. People can participate in fishing village activities as well as learn about the history, customs, and local food here. Which are unique and special experience.

Teaching English to children in the fishing village
Teaching about environmental protection

Supporting the development of sustainable tourism and small communities.
We ask each volunteer to create something meaningful from their culture exchange time like write a post or an article, record a song, take some photos...about the village, the life, the people, the food here, any activities that interested you... Post them on any platforms you'd like and tag us in.Languages

Shared accommodation. We always have rooms available for volunteers to stay- just connect with us and we will arrange something for you: )
You will have wifi, a/c, shower, towels, bedding sheet. You can enjoy the pool, the nearby beach, the common areas, and use our bike to go to the markets.
Food and drinks:
We offer simple local food and drinking water. You can get snacks, coffee, ice tea and sugarcane juice from the next door store or shop at nearby morning markets everyday.What else ...
Things to do:
- The beach is only a 10 minutes walk. It is very local and beautiful!
- You can bike around the area, visit the fishing villages and their markets
- You can climb Cao Bien mountain, with beautiful views of the sea and the surroundings
- You can visit the untouched Cu Lao Island, just a 10 minute boat ride from here
Transport:
- Our village is located on the coast, just 15 minutes from the highway between Hoi An and Nha Trang. There are many busses available. The closest big city is Tuy Hoa, 25 minutes from here. We can help you with your transport: )A little more information
