Hello Everyone,
Thanks for taking the time to read my profile.
My name is Roy, and I was born and raised in a small village in Belgium.
I graduated as a specialized welder, many years ago now 😊.
I've always really enjoyed this work, and also got to travel a lot because of it.
At one point I sat at home for a while due to knee problems, and had time to reflect on everything.
I realized that my life was basically my job, 6 weeks away, 1.5 weeks at home, plane in, plane out....
I was seeing a lot of the world, but not really experiencing it.
So now I have decided to turn my life around, indefinitely. I would like to travel, and offer help where needed.
It's my first experience with Workaway, but it seems like an ideal combination to travel (through Europe) like this.
In terms of work I would like to do anything...whether it's gardening, cleaning, painting...it doesn't matter much to me.
Whatever the job is, I always try to do it the best I can, and I am known to work in an orderly fashion.
I have quite a bit of experience in different work, but I am also looking forward to learning new things.
Usually it's just a matter of getting started, and then afterwards you realize you can do more than you think 😉 .
My hobbies have actually changed a lot throughout my life.
My wild hobbies from before(Motocross, Karting), I traded in for quieter ones...now I try to hike as much as possible, and started playing guitar a few years ago.
I will never become a guitar hero, but it is enough to amuse me a bit, and most importantly, to write my own songs.
I also love animals very much, and have always had dogs.
Unfortunately, I had to put my faithful four-footed friend to sleep awhile ago....
So for the hosts with dogs (and other animals), I will always "sacrifice myself" to go for walks and play with them 😊!
That's pretty much my short biography, if you want to know anything else, just ask!
I hope to meet you soon, and I look forward to hearing your stories of life!
Greetings
