Description
We’re a small international family-three people and two dogs-living on an old farm in the hills near Lillehammer. We moved to Norway because we love nature, and here we’re surrounded by forest, open views, and fresh air. It’s peaceful but not remote-just 25 minutes from Lillehammer and two hours north of Oslo.
The farm was barely used for years, and now we’re working to bring it back to life. We’ve started growing flowers and begun fixing up the buildings. There’s always general upkeep, but we also try to find a small hands-on project for each workawayer to complete while they’re here-something personal and practical, like making a herb garden, digging out a pond. It’s a way to leave something behind and see the change. This is for cultural exchange and help on our private homestead.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
We’re also open to language exchange-especially in English, German, Norwegian, French. We look forward to sharing a daily meal, having conversations about different cultures, and exchanging knowledge about this region.
Depending on the season and the task a workawayer chooses, we're happy to share our own skills too. We also love recommending nature experiences and local activities for your time off-there’s plenty to explore right outside the door.Aide
We have variety of tasks, so many different skills can be handy. Every person should be well-organized, open-minded, and able to take initiative. We’re especially looking for people who are independent.
Helpful skills include gardening, handling dogs, or being a good cook-especially with Mediterranean or Asian cuisine.Langues

You’ll have your own studio apartment in a separate building, with a kitchen, bathroom with shower, and a beautiful view. It’s ideal for one person or a couple and gives you some privacy and space to relax after a day on the farm.
You’ll have your own kitchen to prepare your own meals-especially breakfast and dinner. We aim to share one meal a day together, usually lunch or dinner, in a separate room. We provide basic necessities and a certain budget for you to shop for the food you enjoy. If you’re a good cook, you’ll take the lead in preparing the shared meals-we’re always excited to try new flavors and dishes!Autres infos...
You can explore this area best if you have a car. We can provide one bike, but having a car gives you much more flexibility. Public transportation is available, with a bus running four times a day; the stop is about 1 km away.
Please note: we do not allow any use of drugs, smoking or partying at our place. We value the peaceful atmosphere here and want to keep it that way. You're also responsible for keeping your studio apartment clean and returning it in the same condition you found it.
In winter, we can provide snowshoes and a set of cross-country skis (there’s a track that starts right from our property), depending on your height and weight. We’re also happy to connect you with a great outdoor store in Lillehammer where you can rent all kinds of gear for both summer and winter activities—tents, skis, and much more.Informations complémentaires

Familles bienvenues
Possibilité d’accueillir les digital nomads
In general, we have good cell phone and internet reception. There isn’t a separate desk available, but there’s a comfortable table you can use for work.
Espace pour garer des vans
You can park your motorhome next to the house and use the facilities inside. There’s enough space for a small van to drive to the property and park comfortably. Please note that the property is on a slope, and in winter, very good winter tires or spiked tires are necessary to access it safely.
Possibilité d'accueillir les animaux
In certain cases, we allow workawayers to bring their dog, but this must follow very clear rules. As required by Norwegian law, dogs must be kept on a leash during the summer months. We also expect no barking that might disturb the peace, any damage caused must be covered by the workawayer, and all waste must be picked up immediately.
