From the very first day, Missy felt like more than just a volunteer. She became a beloved member of our family. Over nearly two months with us, she adapted so naturally and wholeheartedly to our way of life that it felt like she had always been here. Missy’s kindness, patience, and warmth touched everyone around her. She was always quick to lend a hand, and when new volunteers arrived, she took the lead in welcoming them and helping them settle in. She naturally stepped into a role of leadership and care. From the school community, we have been equally blessed to have her with us. Teacher Pia shared how Missy brought a bright and positive energy every day, always ready to support students with a warm smile. Her contributions were felt in so many small and meaningful ways. Teacher Janer beautifully captured the impact Missy had in the classroom. Her nurturing spirit created a safe and loving environment where students could thrive. She didn’t just help with teaching. She connected with each child like family, and that bond made all the difference. Missy’s ability to build deep, genuine relationships with everyone, from students to staff, was truly special. Beyond her work, we are especially grateful for the friendship and memories we shared with her. Missy is not only an incredible volunteer but also a deeply kind, caring, and inspiring person. She will always have a home here with us, and we know her presence will be missed dearly. Thank you, Missy, for everything you've given us. You’ve left a beautiful mark on our hearts.

I had the pleasure to host tino at my home . He is a pleasant friendly and hardworking guy . I enjoyed our chats and pints in the local pub Tino helped me sand and paint doors . Remove and replace a bedroom wood floor as well as door trim and baseboard . Tino will be a great addition to any host

I spent three weeks with Bastiaan, Laura and their family and I had the best time! I felt welcomed from the beginning and had great conversations. Because of Bastiaans patience I learned a lot about life on a farm and myself as well. We spent our days outside making hay, apple sauce, building a dog house or looking after the fences of the horses. In the free time I got to go out with the horse wagon or kayaking on the nearby lake. I really enjoyed spending time with the children as well. The place was absolutely peaceful and beautiful, great for being in nature and relaxing away from the hectic. I can absolutely recommend visiting! And thank you so much for the great time I had staying with you :))

Having Simon on our farm was a pleasure. He attentively noticed activities that were important at the moment. He split and sawed large logs with great dedication, set posts, built fences and secured our horse path. He was also extremely respectful and attentive towards the animals themselves. In addition, our Benjes hedge became quite a bit longer again. Simon often completed tasks that had been waiting for a long time. He completed his tasks with a great deal of effort combined with calm friendliness. Some of the wooden furniture in the house was also sanded down and given a fresh coat of paint. Simon showed a great willingness to get involved in new and unfamiliar things. Simon's friendly presence was a fundamentally important support.

Dear Eleda, Thank you so much for your beautiful words. It was an absolute joy having you here. You brought so much positive energy, warmth, and light into our days. You were a wonderful help in every way – from preparing delicious treats and helping around the hotel, to joyfully spending time with the kids. Your self-motivation, kindness, and cheerful spirit were truly inspiring. And we can’t forget the yoga sessions you shared with us. We already miss your laughter and presence, and we’re so grateful for the memories we created together. You will always have a home here. Looking forward to the day we meet again! I had a wonderful stay at Hà's farm. The tasks you have to do are very well explained, and all the volunteers are lovely. I made great friends there. There was a lot of free time. The most tiring task was definitely to entertain and create lessons for the children, but it was also rewarding. I really enjoyed my time there and would recommend it to everyone who needs to be in a routine during their travels. However, I didn't learn as much as I hoped about farming, as it is an educational farm, so there are not that many animals, and it is not (yet) a self-sufficient farm. Also, we were maybe too many volunteers for all the tasks there were, because i was very surprised we had to clean the place where the animals lived twice a day, but i guess it's not a bad thing, it was just very clean. Thank you Hà, tofu and Zemi , wish you all the best !

I've spent 3 amazing weeks with Dean and Groni and Leonardo. The place is really quiet in the mountains and you can enjoy your slow life in the nature. They are very openmind by the works that you can do by your possibility and they listen you about new idea or creativity project. After lunch you can go in the near river to take a swim and enjoy the kayakers going down from the waterfall, also you can enjoy some hikes near their house. I felt home from the first moment that I've arrived so it was fantastic to stay in the house. It was my first workaway and I'm really grateful to stay with them and the group was amazing. Thank you again to Dean, Groni, Leonardo and the group Samuele :)

Anne is an interesting and cultured person, her place is in a countryside village of local people, for a great inside cultural experience. I enjoyed working in the garden, cutting, pruning, clearing, as well as any other jobs we could see around the house. The home is big and comfy, she cared about me, we had good food, we went to the market, to few villages and city around, to meet neighbours, we went out for dinner and she showed me the best quite beaches to refresh and relax! We had interesting talks and we found a good 'routine' together, I felt like home after travelling few months and I'm grateful for this opportunity!

Ethan stayed at our place for a month and we definitely recommend him. He worked with counsciousness in the garden, helped us with some renovation and also in the house with cleaning/cooking/taking care of the household. He is an awesome cook and he treated us with his vegan meals and deserts. You can feel that he enjoys it a lot and its just about sharing. We spent few times talking french, english, spanish and he was so kean to learn about the language and the culture. Ethan is very independant and like his time alone, enjoys also discovering places, people and wandering around. Now he knows that he is part of the family, his chill vibes and kindness are a true lesson <3

We had an amazing time with the whole family. They helped us with their efficient and skilled work and were a great addition to our group that soon felt like a little extra family. It was a pleasure to have their amazing talkative and social daughter around. Even she often offered a helping hand with the dishes and dog walks ;-) All in all they did way more than we expected from them and we are incredibly thankful for their help and their company in these busy times.

Christy was an amazing force of nature supporting us on our renovation project. He walked around carrying 75 kg of betong as if it is nothing during, worked never ending hours even though we tried to send him home and after that we had amazing conversations on our kitchen table. He is easy to be around with, treated our old dog with a lot of warmth and a big part of the reason why we managed to come so far with our house.

Ich war total froh, dass Argon mir ganz spontan noch einen Platz angeboten hat. Nicht nur, weil ich dadurch die Chance hatte, Zeit in den wunderschönen Bergen Montenegros zu verbringen, sondern auch, weil die ganze Erfahrung einfach richtig besonders war. Wir waren ein super Team im Guesthouse – sieben Leute, die richtig gut miteinander harmoniert haben. Es war lustig, locker und einfach eine tolle Zeit. Auch wenn die Aufgaben im Alltag recht ähnlich waren, hat sich trotzdem jeder Tag ein bisschen anders angefühlt. Ich habe viele liebe Menschen kennengelernt und mich rundum wohlgefühlt. Argon ist ein sehr humorvoller und herzlicher Mensch. Er ist total großzügig und gibt sich wirklich Mühe, dass man sich willkommen fühlt und möglichst viel erleben kann. Er hat z. B. eine Rafting-Tour für uns organisiert und uns mit Spezialitäten bekocht – richtig toll! Alles in allem war’s einfach eine super schöne Erfahrung, an der ich nichts auszusetzen habe. Ich wäre gern noch länger geblieben ! Das Essen war übrigens extrem lecker vorallem das Dessert :))

Alain stayed with us for 5 days. He was very willing, eager to work, and did a thoroughly good job with the tasks he was given. Unfortunately, my husband's work became unexpectedly busy during that time, so we weren't able to give Alain the time and structure he needed and deserved. We appreciated his enthusiasm and would be happy to welcome him back when things are a little quieter for us.

This was my first Workaway experience – and it was great! I was picked up from the train station and brought back there at the end. I felt very welcome and comfortable right from the beginning. The description on Workaway was very accurate, and Martyna and Marco really tried to show me a lot of Slovenia. During my one week there, we visited a beautiful river and went to a lake two times. They are very kind, respectful, and a lovely family. We almost always had lunch together with everyone on the farm – and the food was so delicious! It was a really great experience, especially for people who love animals – there were many cats, dogs, and even goats! :)

Thanks again Khurshed for helping us with things to do during this period. Always ready and enthusiastic. I noticed that your Italian has improved. Unfortunately the period was short but I hope to see you again in the future. Gabriel

Giulia stayed with us for the last 7 weeks, joining us right in the peak season. The day she arrived, she unpacked, rolled up here sleeves, cracked her knuckles and got going. Cheerfully and very efficiently she jumped on any task assigned to her. And as soon as she was finished she would ask what else needed to be done. You can tell immediately that Giulia is a hospitality pro and a very seasoned traveller the way she seamlessly blended into her new environment. On her off days, Giulia visited the nearby cities and towards the end of her stay she walked on the Camino all the way to Finisterre, bringing her stay with us to a very symbolic finish. On a personal level Giulia is an enchanting person. We are going to miss our fun conversations, lots of laughs and relaxed companionship. The only moment Giulia gets serious is when she takes out her playing cards, starts shuffling and gets down for a round of scopa. We wish her best luck for all her future travel plans and will always keep an open door for her should she decide to come back to visit us.

Salli was a wonderful addition to our household during her workaway experience. I really enjoyed hearing her experiences from her homeland, and she was able to help me get some jobs done in the garden and yard. Salli was also great with our dog and new puppy, and with our new baby donkeys. Highly recommend her to other hosts.

Gaelle was an excellent volunteer, enthusiastic and hard working. We had enjoyable, intelligent and interesting conversations . She got on really well with a fellow volunteer and together we all learnt the classic French card game of tarot! I would recommend her to any host.

Pia stayed with us for two days as we were in the middle of a complete house-makeover. We could therefore not offer her a lot of comfort unfortunately, but she was very easygoing and uncomplicated. The tasks we gave her were not the most exciting, but her help was very valuable and she worked in a very structured and meticulous way which we appreciated. We recommend Pia to all Workaway host, and would be glad to welcome her back anytime!
